M.E.G.A. “2026” Welcomes Everyone!!
Hope everyone is well rested from the winter break. The league will have some changes for the “2026” season as we continue to try to improve our league. To make this season a bigger success, your Commissioners, Board of Directors (BOD) and Brigantine Links Management would like to ask everyone for their full cooperation in the upcoming M.E.G.A. season and support our after-golf activities at The Brigantine Golf Links.
Rules and Regulations
- All players must register at Pro Shop prior to playing.
- M.E.G.A. will consist of (5) designated flights: “A” Flight with 0 to 8.0 handicap playing back tees, “B” Flight, Members 3 to 10 handicap playing middle tees, “C Flight with 8.1 to 16.0 handicap playing middle tees and “Senior A” flight men over 65 with 0 to 8.5 handicap and “Senior B” Flight men over 65 greater than a 8.1 handicap (board discretion) will play the forward tees, Members over 80 + can play from the beginning of the fairways except on the closest to the pin holes.
- During the first or second half of play, based on play and handicaps any player may be moved to another flight at the discretion of the Commissioner or Directors.
- Handicaps in the league will stay consistent for the first (3) weeks and will change every week after that point.
- Tournament of Champions qualification:
In order to qualify for the year end T of C you must- Sponsor a week.
- Win a combination of two low net or low gross during the season.
- Win, Low Net or Low Gross in a Major tournament or Event.
- Tee Times: First Tee times start at 1:00 PM. (not before)!!! 1:00 PM. to 5:00 PM, M.E.G.A.will have exclusive use of the designated tee, 1st come 1st serve, no reserved tee times. After 4:30PM outside play may be a factor while playing your round. In order to speed up the pace of play, any player on any given hole must pick up when reaching double par status.
- League play will begin at 1:00 P.M. every Wednesday. Any M.E.G.A. player wanting to play an (18) hole practice round prior to 1:00 P.M. is permitted and tee times for your foursome is required. Reminder: your M.E.G.A. round must be played after 1:00 P.M. and must be played with at least (2) other M.E.G.A. members in order for it to be posted. Due to the number of M.E.G.A. Members playing the same (9) holes. To give more exposure to our course and league we allow 2 guests per year per MEGA member at the non-member league rate.
- No five-somes will be permitted on the course during M.E.G.A. exclusive tee times as noted above.!! After 4:30 p.m. this will be permitted at the discretion of the course proshop.
- Players may elect to hit a “Mulligan” off the first tee only. However, if you elect to do so, you must play that ball!! You must make that decision on the Tee. Once you hit that second ball, your first ball is no longer in play, No exceptions!! At no other time can a “Mulligan” be used except on the first tee. A “provisional” may be called on 1st ball, however, if it is found it must be played under any circumstances. The league will allow rolling the ball.
- During the month of April & May, the Atlantic City High School Golf Team may, at times, be intermingling with our league, this should not cause any playing problems and will only be for (4) Wednesdays.
- Unfortunately, due to the past abuse of playing practice holes, this will no longer be allowed!! Any member caught doing so, may lose their privilege to play in the league.
- The Brigantine Golf Links course rates for the “2026” season will be as Follows:
- Nonmembers / Nonresidents or Non-Brigantine taxpayers will be required to pay the rate of $40.00
- If you are a Brigantine Resident or Brigantine Taxpayer you will be required to pay the rate of $35.00 (you must have your resident ID card updated/paid for the current year. (NO exceptions)
- If you are a Signature or Weekday Member who has not pre-paid your cart fee for the year you will be required to pay the rate of $16.00.
- The Links will be charging an additional fee of $10.00 for a total of $26.00 if you request to ride alone in a cart due to health concerns.
**Pricing includes green fees and cartfees and at your option and course availability to play (18) holes of golf**
- Sponsorships are a valuable part of the golf league. They help defer costs of Major Tournament Prizes, Special Events, and End of the year Banquet as well as many other needs associated in running a well-established golf league. Anyone knowing or wanting to sponsor a golf league week, please see the Commissioner or a Director.
- All players are required to ride due to the restricted play time. Any player wishing only to play (9) holes of golf will still be required to pay the full rate(s) stated above.
- League dues will be as follows: Full Members $360.00, for the year or if paid in (2) installments $190.00 for the 1st half and $190.00, for the second half. 2nd Half Members joining the league will be required to pay $260.00. There will be no more breaks on dues, you pay the full amount each half or don’t play at all. We prefer that you pay by check. If you insist to pay with cash, you must get a receipt.
- Money breakdown will be as follows:

- All dues to be paid in full or by half by the first opening league week, April 22nd, 2026. Any player who does not pay their dues on time will not be eligible for skins or prizes.
- All skin monies will be divided out evenly each week within each flight.
- Skin money breakdown is as follows: $100.00 per regular week per flight and $150.00 per major week, per flight for skins. The skin money given out each week will be determined by the number of skins that hit that week per flight. Closest to the pins will be $25.00 each. If no one hits in any week, the money will be carried to the following week. All payouts are subject to number of players!
- Skin money will be divided and paid out as follows:
- Par equals: 1-share.
- Birdie equals: 2-shares.
- Eagle equals: 3-shares.
- Albatross (3 under on a hole) equals 4 shares.
- All shares are totaled and divided into the total pot per flight.
- Hole-in-one gets entire pot!!
- eather-related conditions: If the course is open for play, the week will count. (THERE MUST BE A MINIMUM OF 25% PLAYERS PER FLIGHT TO PAY OUT SKINS/CTTР) Also, the Commissioner and Directors will make direct calls to The Brigantine Golf Links staffon this if need be.
- Any act by Mother Nature or any other circumstance that cancels play, the following week skins will be doubled.
- Score cards must have full names of every player within the group and scoring per hole. Score cards that are not legible will result in those players being disqualified for that week.
- All score cards must be turned in at The Brigantine Golf Links or in the outside mailbox. We are not responsible for cards that you give to other players and not turned in after your scheduled nine. If you are going on to play (18) holes of golf, please drop off your card first.
- Weekly results will be posted at The Links prior to your next week round. Skins, closest to pins and prizes will be announced and distributed at The Links Bar-n-Grill by 7:00 p.m. each week.
- Rules committee for the M.E.G.A. League will be Joe Mingoia, John Rios, Mike Lange Jr. and Dave Hughes with assistance from the Links Professionals.
- Players are asked to obey all signs regarding playing conditions on the course, such as cart paths, newly seeded areas, ball drop areas, etc. Please remember to rake all sand traps and fix all ball marks!! There are other players playing behind you.
- No coolers and no carry-on alcoholic beverages are permitted on the course. The Golf Course will have a beverage cart on the course during M.E.G.A. Play. They will be offering “Happy Hour Pricing” Don’t be stupid, this is your only warning!! You will be kicked out of the league.
- Please drive all carts back to the cart barn after your round of golf. Please do not leave at your cart or in the parking lot or at club house. Your cooperation would be appreciated by all.
- The Brigantine Golf Links requires a strict dress code. Proper attire required at all times, no exceptions!! No jeans, tee shirts, tank tops, etc. Any player who does not obey these requirements will not be permitted to play.
- League play and after golf activities is for M.E.G.A. members only!! Outside nonmembers are not permitted to play under any circumstances.
- Failure to comply with all the M.E.G.A. rules stated above, and The Brigantine Golf Links rules may result in the suspension of your playing privileges.
- Announcements of the weekly winners for Closest to the Pin, Skins, Regular Week, Major, Gross & Net will only be made at The Links Bar-n-Grill. You must be present at The Links Barn-Grill to accept any prize or ($) winnings. There will be a one-week delay in the announcements in order to give your M.E.G.A.BOD a chance to tally the winners and to adjust handicaps if necessary. Winners will of course be listed in The Times, our official newspaper of record.
- Please respect our course and help clean up and pick up any loose debris, fix any divots or ball marks. Our cumulative individual assistance will greatly improve our course.

Universal Ruling:
*USGA rules apply, unless otherwise specified *
- ***All flights can roll the ball where it lies.
- M.E.G.A. Ruling: Due to time and conditions of bunkers when we go to play. Players may rake trap and place ball before playing out of traps. If you ground your club a one stroke penalty will be enforced.
- Any ball within a club length of a cart path, player receives relief nearest point of relief then (1) club length (with a ball drop, no placement) no closer to the hole.
- Any ball lying in fairway drainage ditches on holes #4, 6, 10 and 16, player receives relief no closer to the hole.
- All long putters are excluded for use as a club length from the above-mentioned.
- Any construction areas, defined as stone drainage trenches, irrigation lines or other, player receives relief no closer to the hole.
- Out of bounds is defined by off course property. All fences, white posts and white lines. Players receive No relief from these markers unless otherwise stated. (see rule 17)
- All yardage posts, posted signs, irrigation boxes / valves and traffic control ropes / signs, player receives relief, no closer to the hole.
- Lateral hazards, identified by red markings, players may elect to play out of or take a one stroke penalty. If a player elects to play out of, player may not ground club within the hazard.
- Relief constitutes a legal drop of the ball. The drop penalty is (2) club lengths and relief is (1) club length.
- All players must putt out, No Gimmies ~ this means everybody!!
- Use designated drop areas for water hazards as marked by local course ruling.
- Grass clippings: player receives relief, no closer to the hole.
- Plugged ball rule is in effect. Ask playing partner(s) before picking it up.
- All score cards must be filled out entirely, with players’ first and last name, hole score, total score and flight. Score cards that are not legible may result in player(s) disqualification.
- On any questions regarding a ruling, player is asked to play a second ball in addition to the original ball and record both scores. A ruling will be made by the Commissioner or Directors upon completion of play.
- Out of Bounds Rule Clarification: if a ball is hit OB the player must drop along the flight of the ball to the out of bounds point. If it is the first shot, the player will drop 2 take a 1 shot penalty (lying 3) and will hit his 4th shot.
- Lost ball on the course (in rough, clippings, etc., may take a free drop without penalty in the general area of the lost ball” if all the golfers are in agreement)

Please join us for cocktail refreshments and lite faire as we begin our 2026 Golf Season. We are excited for the new season beginning with week number one on April 22nd, 2026.
The team at the Links have been getting ready for the season and made some on course improvements. Marc Kimminau-General Manager of The Links is offering a MEGA DAY special on April 16th, $15.00 green fee for MEGA members after 1:30 PM. You must register in the Pro Shop
- We have made some changes to our Rules and Regulations that you will see in 2026 edition along with our weekly schedule, sign up sheet and Universal Rules.
- We need new registration forms from all golfers with updated information including email addresses, shirt sizes, sponsorship, and playing schedule (full season, half) and payments choice.
- Sponsors are always needed to support our league and your company and/or family.
- And as always please continue to support our league, golf course and lounge.
